There is a hole in the ground in front of my house where bees fly in and out. Is there an effective and safe way to address this issue? (I saw mention of burning the hives, pesticides--does just filling the hole work?) Thanks in advance.

It doesn't have very good suction anymore like it used to. And I'm pretty sure it's the filter. But how do I change it? Please help!

The walls are going to be a mushroom (grayish brown) and the sheers will be next to navy blue (almost black) heavier panels. My question is should I get white sheers or cream/ivory sheers?

Looking to plant a shade tree to block the afternoon sun on my house and was thinking a willow oak. One issue is we are on a septic tank and I'm not quite sure where the drain field is. I know where the tanks lid is and there is about 100 feet or so where our grass is very green and the grass around it is brown so my guess would be that the drain field is there.

I can still plant the shade tree about 15 feet away from the drain field, at least I think that's where it is, and about 20 feet from the lid of the spetic tank.

Thanks

We are painting our living room but I am trying to decide how would be best. The carpet and furniture are pretty close to the same color- off white/ cream. There is also a thick "chair rail" about 1/3 of the way up the wall. This and the other woodwork in the room (doorways and beams across the ceiling) are a dark brown wood, almost black. I don't know if I can paint that.

I was thinking a blue for the room... at first I was thinking blue on the bottom and leaving the white above the chair rail. Now I'm not so sure.

ANY ideas you have are welcome! Thanks!

1. How does one decide if a sunlight lamp is high quality, while buying online?
2. Is it safe to use for getting ready in the morning, tipped up to face me while I apply makeup?
3. Really, how accurately do they simulate sunlight?
Any other facts you can share would be greatly appreciated.

Some pest is eating/chewing on my otherwise gorgeous bouganvillea plant. I never find any evidence that tells me what is devouring my plant. I live in MS. Any ideas?

The house was built in 1920 with a very small crawl space. I only have about 18" to work with. The house is U shaped and the only supports are about 10' appart around the perimeter of the house. The joists are in exelent condition and I want them to stay that way. I would like to install more supports in the center of the house to keep it in good condition. I remind you that I only have about 18" of clearance. Any Ideas are appreciated thanks.
