I'm tossing the idea around in my head to pull up our linolium and put down tile. Couple things though ... can't afford any mistakes or huge expenses. I want to see what's under the linolium but can't pull up a vent and look cuz the vents are in the ceiling. I'd have to tile around a fiberglass jacuzzi and stand up shower. Never tiled before and probably won't mess with it if I can't pull it off with just a couple hundred in supplies.

The back was VERY dirty, dust clinging thickly to everything. I cleaned out almost all of the accumulated dust and dirt but it didn't seem to help.

I'm hoping to find a tool that kind of looks like a screw driver. I just need to know the products name, price, and place you purchased it. And if it actually works.

my 12 year old natches crape mrytle put on quite a show last year and the year before. This year,in coastal NC, it didn't bloom very much and the blooms didn't last long while it was blooming. Didn't do anything different to it and it doesn't appear to have a diesease. I did water it at the base with a drip hose when our water table dropped and many other trees started suffering from the drought. I didn't water it much or for many days. Just watered it deep two times. Any ideas what could be wrong?

My husband and I just moved in to a new house and the fence is fine. But I know in years to come we'll need to replace the fence since we have the pretty side it will be our responsibility. My question is, our fence ends at the side of our house where as my neighbors fence comes up to almost the front of their house. Part of the fence extends on their property a good 10 ft beyond ours. I don't want to sound cheap but fences are expensive. Will my husband and I still be responsible for that part of the fence?

I live in a flat with a couple other girls, so we don't pee on the seat and are generally very neat. That having been said, the toilet really smells of pee and makes the whole bathroom unbearably awful. We have tried cleaning the toilet bowl with clorox and using air freshener mist but it has not helped. What else can be done?

Thank you in advance all you domestic gods and goddesses out there.

I've checked a couple nurseries, they don't have the plants or seeds, anyone know who carries them? They don't have to make by Halloween.

I need to sell our bedroom furniture set, but I have no idea what type of wood it is. My husband owned it before we got married and he doesn't even know! It looks like light oak, but with darker circles throughout it. He thinks they're called knots, but I cannot find anything online. If anyone has an idea, thanks!

A few years ago, US manufacturers standardized the color of the Romex sheathing on household electric cable. Now AWG 14 is white, 12 is yellow, and 10 is orange.

We have a summer cottage that doesn't have hollow walls, so all the electric wiring is exposed. We need to replace some of the old, crumbling wiring - which is all black - but on the very dark wood walls, it would look terrible to have any of the new colors, particularly yellow or orange. Is there anywhere left to buy a simple household electrical cable, like a sheathed solid-core NM 12-2, with either brown or black sheathing?

here are 3 pics of 3 butternut squash plants. Some have spotted white leaves, some have nearly all white leaves and the 3rd has a combo of both. I live in Southern CA. Are these squash plants diseased? If so, are they able to be saved or should they be dug up and replaced with new healthy plants?
