I've just had an electrician in and he's drilled holes through my walls, bricks and cement. There is dust EVERYWHERE in the house, what would be the quickest way to remove it? I don't know where to start. (I have laminate flooring and carpets and all my walls are papered)

We have a two story house and would like to hang a chandelier over the dinning table. There is not one currently there, plus there is no attic access. Is there any other way, other than to tear up a lot of the ceiling and notch the beams acroos to the fixture to get electrical wiring to it? My husband is a great electrician and great w/ drywall as well- the problem is the ceiling has a slight texture. From a prvious leak and repair, I know how hard that is to fix so it is not obvious. With the light from a chandelier, it would almost have to be perfect.

Any tips, suggestions or things I 've not thought of would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have recently moved to an area that has rather sandy soil. Not really loamy, mostly sand where the water just drains right off it. What do I need to add to my beds to make them suitable for growing spring bulbs such as crocus's and daffodils? Can I just build a raised bed on top of it and add regular soil on top of it or is this going to create a problem?

I have a medium size garden next to my house with cherry tomatos and regular tomatos, jalepenos and green and red peppers. When I went to go out to pick some things, I noticed an infestation of fruit flies. I know some of my cherry tomatos that were buried started to rot. How do I get rid of the fruit flies??? Will they ruin my garden?? Help!

what is the pattern that people used in the civil war times...like the kind of silk wallpaper they would use in their homes. Like the wallpaper in the movie "the skeleton key".. the weeping willow patterns. I want to know some kind of pattern they used during that time.

Is the deck builder obligated to remove the sod under the deck? I read the contract; it did not mention anything about removing the sod.

I will be painting over a glossy orange that I just hate. I want to paint the wood white. Should I choose a white gloss, satin, or flat to hide the orange color?
What paint provides best coverage?

What is the formula for Btu vs room size?
I don't want this to be oversized either as I don't have a lot of power options & I'm trying to squeeze everything I can from (1) 15Amp circuit. This room will also have (2) c. fans, a mini-frig, (2) small flat screen tvs, a stereo & some lights.
Because of all this & my reluctance to put in another circuit, it needs to be (as close to) exactly the right size unit as possible so it'll work, but not pull too much amperage.

I went in the garage and can see right through the crack. It's about 1" and goes completely through. I've lived in the house for 1 year and there are no signs of cracking in the living/dining room which is above the garage. Also no water leakage. Can this be fixed? Any idea on cost?
