what is the pattern that people used in the civil war times...like the kind of silk wallpaper they would use in their homes. Like the wallpaper in the movie "the skeleton key".. the weeping willow patterns. I want to know some kind of pattern they used during that time.

I think you are referring to a pattern called toile (pronounce twall) It has elaborate scenes on it and is often different shades of one color.

A straightforward search with any good search engine should be helpful. Use keywords like "historic wallpaper" and "vintage wallpaper" but be carfull with "vintage," since on most sites that refers to 20th century rather than 19th.)

You should be able to find something similar to the pattern you want.

I think looking thru Victorian wallpaper patterns would help. Or maybe Montebellum...is that what it was called.
