I am converting an extra room into a hangout room, but i need ideas for colors, lounging, decoration...ect.?

I am 13 and I like bright colors, but i am on a budget...HELP!

This sounds like a good project. Faux painting will answer many of your problems and you can tailor it to have a couple of contrasting colors so your color matches do not have to be exact. There is a great book. 1200 Paint Effects for the Home Decorator by Ray Bradshaw. It has hundreds of paint swatches and recommends color combinations and painting techniques. I used this book to do two accent walls in my home and I can't believe that "I" actually did it. It looks just great and I have had many compliments. People actually walk up and touch the wall, asking where I bought the "Wall Paper" It looks that good. The great thing is that it was really easy and took less that 2 hours per wall. Without drying time between coats of course.

Now if you want it cheaper and easier try using fabrics. you can buy really cheap cotton tapestry's for almost nothing and they have great colors and patterns. cover one whole wall and then work around it. Bean bag chairs are always comfortable. Try your local Good Will or check to see if there is an Auction house near you. You will be amazed at what you can find for very little money. Have fun.

I would paint the walls "luxe blue" by Sherwin Williams, and then do stencils over top in "netsuke" & "red bay." Here are some cool stencils:

You can get cheap furniture from flea markets, thrift stores or yards sales. And you can paint whatever you find!
