I am trying to make some wooden toys for preschool age kids, so I need something that is non-toxic. I don't want to use mineral oil or anything else that might leave stains, and I need something that will be durable and waterproof... okay "saliva-proof." Any thoughts?

Our office is behind a huge concrete planter. There are big plants in there at the moment so when clients come in to the building they can't see our office because of the big palms etc.

Also, all the plants are the same green, it is very umimpressive.

Any suggestions what would look good, provide some colour and grow less than 4 feet tall so people can still see our door over the plants/flowers.

The clumps are large and are full of dead stalks and leaves. The leaves are curling in on themselves. Is it the lack of water or is it that they need digging up and seperating.

Removal of garbage and processing them in centralised places is an unpleasant job. Any country having any other method? Why not destroy garbage using powerful heaters(either solar or electric) at every house/ colony. I feel this invention deserves Nobel prize.

There used to be a odour eater type spray you used on clothes that were clean but got smelly after being around cigarette smoke and other evil odours...it might have been called something like Frebreze, but I am not sure?

Does anyone know the correct name? Is it still available? Where can you buy it and for roughly how much? (obviously please don't tell me your local shop around your way! I am in London).

Thanks.

I have this gorgeous white fedora I got on EBay and over time, I've made the mistake of not caring for it properly. Now it has stains from sweat, other hats, etc. If there is anybody that can help me with ideas on how to clean this hat, send them on. Reme, ber, the hat is made of cotton and has a stingy brim so I'd like to clean it while keeping everything else intact.

Ewww. I just found a cockroach on the inside of my apartment's window screen, and after setting out a jar of cockroach bait (with sugar and baking soda in it) promptly shut the window, trapping it. Now I'm freaked out, though! How long will it live after eating the bait? I keep a VERY clean apartment, so I have no idea where it came from?! I'm going to call my landlord to have the apartment sprayed, but it could take a few days to get a bug sprayer scheduled. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

is there any way that we can tell if its just a reaccuring clog or if its due to the pipe being broken from tree roots, we have had to have plumber come out 6 times in a yr and each time they are only getting toliet paper out. We are currently working with a new plumber from our church who advised us that he thinks we have what he calls a shakey elbow and he is gonna help us replace in spring for only 1/3 of the price because we are gonna do the manual labor part.
