I have enough clothes that I usually only do laundry once a week or so, but I will have a dirty dishtowel going all stinky and I don't know what to do.

I personally hate to do partial loads, I am a fanatic when it comes to conserving energy, water, utility charges!!!

However, you didn's say whether it was just you or not. If you are then you could be waiting a while.

I know a lot of people are really picky about how they wash their things, but I usually wash towels with towels and wash clothes whether they be for the kitchen or bathroom. I also wash jeans and towels together. That can help make your load bigger.

It really all depends on your preferences.

Now, if your like my single son, he'll wash anything together, soft or hard, light or dark! I am just waiting for the day he turns his underwear and t-shirts pink!!:o)

I have an old nappy bucket in the laundry and all facewashers, tea towels and cleaning cloths go into there to soak in some colour safe Napisan. Then once every 2-3 days I wash these items all together. I put the machine through a coloured cycle but don't add any soap powder, just fabric softener for the final rinse.

Hope this helps,

I have at least seven dishtowels at the end of the week. Use a clean one every day and more often if you dry dishes with one.

Were you absent the day they taught about bacteria in science class?

I hate doing partial loads ! Or putting towels in with my dark clothing in case they leave lint.. If they are older towels maybe it's time to "retire" them and throw them out and get some new ones..Or when it's wet hang it somewhere with air circulation to dry so it doesn't start to stink... Like by a fan or on a balcony or hang it in your kitchen so it can dry... I like microfiber dish cloths.. They hold up better than regular towels and I just hand wash them in the sink with a bit of dishsoap and rinse/wring and hang.... They don't seem to get stinky unless you don't have any air circulation... Good luck

Dish cloths, dish towels, towels and face cloths when wet instantly start to obtain bacteria, so the longer you leave wet, the more bacteria will grow. hang up wet things immediatly to allow them to dry they should'nt get stinky, then wash when you get enough to make a worth while load.

same problem here and i usually put them in the sink with dish det. and some clorox clean-up and let them soak a while and then hang them up to dry and when you got enough go ahead and wash them, it very important to let them dry thoroughly before putting in clothes hamper extra tip use a little oxy-clean in your washing machine with det and everything will come out whiter and brighter

I throw them in with the rest of the wash. Some people have a "thing" about not doing that, but it works for me.

As long as they are rinsed well, and hung up to dry, they can wait until you have a full load.

I hang them in a dry place next to my washer so that they don't mil-due. Then throw em in when you have enough.
