I had that same problem! You are able to adjust the belt at the bottom of the unit! You will probably need an allen head to adjust the screw. Turn it in to make the belt tighter! Make sure that you adjust each side the some. Turn the one side in 2 turns and then the other 2 turns. Adjust to your liking! Good Luck!!!

Oil should have come in the kit along with a booklet when you purchased your treadmill. Ours says to clean off the belt once per month and apply a very small amount of oil.

I use a silicone lubricant on mine, It works very well and will not damage the belt. Mine came with a small tube of this lubricant and it can be found at most auto parts stores and hardware stores.

oil isn't,t good for rubber, or belt material,
try a graphite , [dry type] or talc powder
is it a self driven type or one that you have to push to get going, if its motor driven buy a can of belt dressing spray the underneath or under the side you walk on, it will make the belt sticky so the drive roller will turn it,

If you are going to put oil on it, I might use wheel bearing GREASE. If you used WD-40, you'd have to oil it once a month. If you used motor oil, you'd have to oil it once every couple of months. A good coating of grease will last a long time.
