If it is a new dryer then call the dealer where you bought it because it should still be under warranty. But make sure the lint holder is clean. Hope this helps.

If the dryer is only six months old I think it is probably covered under warranty. I would check the manufacturers warranty. I would not try to fix the dryer yourself. I would check the exhaust vent and check the lint filter to make sure they are both clear. A dryer can be dangerous if it does not work properly. Spend the money, if it's not under warranty, and get it checked by a qualified service professional.

Lint can build up where the lint filter is. Also, lint can build up between where you put the clothes in and where the air blows out in the back. They have cleaners for these areas that look like brushes. If that does not work, I would seek professional help.

Gas or electric dryer. Big difference! Check to be certain that the vent is not plugged is best place to start.

WOW do you do the lent catcher often? Clean it free of lint and then, especially if you use dryer sheets, clean it with soap and water and a brush........the dryer sheets tend to cause a film over the lint catcher.......Good luck

You should have a years warranty on it. Call the store where you bought it and they will guide you on how to obtain the repairman through the warranty.
It could be something like a burned out heater element, or a plugged exhaust line.
good luck

Mine did the same thing and it was NEW! You need to have an electrician come in and change out your breakers.
