Never use harsh chemicals inside a microwave, just dish detergent and rinse very well. If the stain doesn't come out try using Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.

Clean it as best you can with soapy water...then for the odor try putting vinegar in a microwave safe bowl and turn it on a minute at a time...I read somewhere that vinegar boiled in a fishy smelling home will absorb the odor...then use like Clorox cleanup ...let it sit a few minutes and see where your at then...I do not think it Will be perfect but it should be pretty darn good...good luck!

Tell "somebody" ;) to cut up a lemon in quarters. Put it in a bowl with water (about a cup of water) and microwave for about 5 minutes. You will be able to sponge a lot of crap off the top and sides because the lemon steams all the junk off, and the bonus is the clean fresh, non-chemical scent it leaves behind.
Good luck!

Boil white vinegar and water interior the microwave. this is going to scent undesirable for a short jointly as, yet that passes surprisingly at as quickly as and the vinegar eliminates the burnt scent (no longer purely a non everlasting conceal-up). the comparable element is likewise sturdy for loosening up stains interior the microwave - a minimum of for general food/grease stains.

Just give it a good scrub w one of those teflon thingies. The best thing for bad smell is sprinkle cinnamon on a wet dishrag and cook it on low for a short time. Make sure the dishrag remains wet.

first get lemon fresh dish soap.
put your dish cloth to wipe out the mwave, but first put the wet (not dripping) cloth in and turn on the mwave for 2 mins. then wipe it out. then get a box of baking soda and dip you cloth in it and wipe it out again. then leave the box in the mwave overnight to let it absorb the smell. it that doesnt do it, use a solution of 10% bleach and 90% water and wipe it out with that. good luck

Gross. I was going to suggest a household cleaner, but now that I think about it, just buy a new one.
