for example, to save space i decided to grow planets on top of each other instead of next each other. for example:

instead of this:
------- ------- ------- -------

it will be like this:
------- ------- ------- -------
------- ------- ------- -------
------- ------- ------- -------
------- ------- ------- -------

will planets grow normally like that?

I have small backyard I share with my nature-loving daughter. There are old rusty pipes that are too heavy and too deep to remove, so I covered it with a large pile of brush and cane. It is along a fence in a grove of young trees so underneath the pile is a mass of tree roots. I'm planning to put a mound of soil over it about 5 or 6" deep to hide it. My daughter suggested it would be a nice place for a fairy garden but I wonder, if I plant perennials or flowers that will attract butterflies, will they thrive in such conditions? What plants could I use?

We filled it about 6 months ago and then left it. then my dad chucked a few water plants in and our goldfish! They seem ok but the water really doesn't look healthy. Some of the pond plants have died too and have had to be taken out. What do you suggest?

in talking to a farmer about an area of my lawn that has at a very steep slope, trying to plant a ground cover that will help stop the quickly eroding soil, he mentioned a bio degradeable screen that is used by highway depts to help small plants, grass seed stay put while germinating and getting past the first growing season. dont know the official name of this product, but looking for any ideas as far as what it is called, and where to purchase. he said once my plants have had a chance to take hold, the screen will bio degrade. any help is appreciated..
thanks

I have many yellow jackets and wasps in my front yard. I have sprayed the one hive I found with Spectracide hornet and wasp killer but I still have them. I have watched their flying pattern and cannot figure out where their newest nest is. Any suggesting on how to kill them without paying the pesticide guy $50 an hour? Also are there any products better than other to spray with, possibly any home remedies?

I remember seeing a lever or some sort in a home goods catalog that allows the user to lift up a corner of the heavy furniture enough to slide a wheel or dolly underneath. I do not recall the name of the catalog or the name of the lever. It was akin to something that would have been seen on TV before. Anyone know?

I have a ceiling fan with an outlet on the wall for on and off. however when in the ON position the lights no longer come on because the pull chain does not do anything but hang there now. Any idea on how to get the chain back to making the lights come back on? Fan works fine still can control that side of the service, but the lights chain does nothing at all now. Help please.

I am about to have a general contractor perform services for me (tile in kitchen, wood flooring, wallpaper removal). He told me that there is no contract to sign, and that we both can sign the proposal he has given me to act as a contract.

I trust the guy, as a trustworthy friend of mine recommended him, but what do I need to do to protect myself?

Is there a simple contract I can draw up to ask him to sign? Where can I find it?

Thank you.
