I don't wanna kill them with slug pellets or anything. Wondering if there is an alternative that would just repel them.

I think it's done drying, but it's late and I'm not sure I should go down to the laundry room alone.

Thanks in advance! :)

I recently planted sod in my backyard and it took to the ground pretty well but then it started to die in spots. Now it is rapidly dying in big patches. Is there anything I can do to bring it back to life? It looks like it is burned and it feels like hay. The fertilizer I used is made for newly planted sod and it is a No-Burn Formula. I don't know what to do. Any help?

I bought those little pellets of dirt that puff up when you put water on them to grow my herb garden. It came with a little plastic covered greenhouse and I can see in the afternoon that it is really hot in there...the dirt is actually hot to the touch. My questions are:
1. Can it get too hot? They haven't sprouted yet but it's only been just over a week.
2: Can I put something like saran wrap over my other herbs in pots for the next week or two to act like a little greenhouse or will it not work the same?

Thanks.

engine runs fine until the blades are dropped, it kills the engine completely. The under carriage is clean of any obstuction and blades move. I don't see any debris on the top side either.

I have installed carpet by myself in two different rooms with nothing more than a razor blade. However, the room I intend to carpet next is a little bit larger and I will have to seam the carpet. I've never had to do that before. What equipment is absolutely necessary? Is doing the seam easy?

My orchid was doing really well then one of the leaves fell off. A few days after that the blooms on one side started to droop and they fell off, a few days later all of the blooms on one side had fallen off. There are two blooms left on one side. What could the problem be? Is there anything I can do to save it/bring it back?

Yesterday we started to here a high pitched sound on our second floor. We cannot tell where the sound is coming from or where it is comming from (directionless). The sound started as a short beep, but now can last anywhere from 5 to 15 seconds. Does anyone know what this may be?

Whe looked for the likely suspects (smoke alarm & clocks) and we are really unable to tell what direction its coming from.

Please help as this is driving my wife and me crazy.

One other hint is that we can here this on the outside of the house too, but not on our first floor or basement.....

I've taken off the cover, and the next plastic piece which holds the gasoline top. I'm not sure where to go from there tho. I've heard that I may need to replace the spring but i'm not sure how to get to it. The wheel which would retract the cord spins (i've wond it with a screw driver). The part that covers the wheel seems to be held down by rivets or something that a screwdriver/allen wrench can't get to because it is a circle. If any one has any suggestions i would appreciate it. I do have pictures which i could send you of what i'm dealing with. Thanks

We have a lot of Black Widows in our backyard. It almost feels like their numbers have been increasing these past few years. Does anyone know if there's a natural and harmless spray or other agent I could use to get rid of them? I have small kids and animals and I hate to encounter them all over our backyard knowing what the risks are for my kids and animals.

I replanted them in a bigger container, and my kids filled up the thing with water. Now I have dirt all over the flowers and the dirt is nothing but mud. Can they be saved?
