I replanted them in a bigger container, and my kids filled up the thing with water. Now I have dirt all over the flowers and the dirt is nothing but mud. Can they be saved?

puck a whole on the side of the pot you have them in... on the back so it isnt visible.... and this trick kinda works but its weird... get a cheap sponge and place it in the dirt.. the sponge will soak up some of the extra water pretty fast and then squeeze it out.... place the pot in the sun.. petunias love sun if the pot is draining then the water isnt sitting and the roots wont mold good luck!!! i have used the sponge trick when hubbie over watered my purple passion plant

make sure the pot is draining! if it is ur in luck. just let em dry out for about a week or so and they'll be fine! the more sun petunias get the better! make sure u deadhead old blooms too! good luck!

as long as the soil is well drainedas it should be, they can be. However, if after a day or two, the petunias arestill very very soggy, it means you don't have them in the full sun they like, so moving them won't hurt.
