I've bought a beautiful Italian plate, around 16 inches in diameter. Unfortunately, I can't find a way to hang in on the way so that it's flat. As it's quite deep, normal wire plate hangers aren't working - they make it stick out at a funny angle. I've also tried this glue-on hanger from John Lewis, although it wasn't strong enough to take the weight of the plate. Any ideas?

We moved into a block of purpose built masionettes a year ago next door to a neighbour who smokes cigars, 5 to 10 daily. It is only 10 months in that we started to smell the smoke within the house, not the smoke drifting in from the front but tangible smoke. The strange part is it is coming from the kitchen where he does not smoke, he only sits in the front room and smokes. I taste it and feel my tongue burning when I stand by the sink and wash up, i feel as if i have smoked. We have found that the water pipes are within the house and noticed a draft from upstairs water pipe and think that there may be a hole in wall. Unfortunately it wouldnt be visible until we took off kitchen cabinets which would mean redoing our kitchen. So we put foam around the water pipe but the smoke has now changed direction and seems to be in the cupboard next door. I have a 19 month old coughing constantly. putting on oven fan helps but so worried for my son and not ideal to have it on constantly

Seriously, why? You know what I mean, you turn the nozzle and you can make a stream that goes like 8 feet. Why do you need this? If you can't reach a window any closer than that, you can't wipe it to clean it. And the stream isn't powerful enough to knock of debris completely, for distance cleaning, so really...what's the point?

think they are fruit flies, but I am trying to see if they are coming from the drains in my house so I put clear packing tape over the holes to see if there are going to be any bugs on the tape in the morning, but there is air coming from the drain in the shower. What causes this? I don't think I have ever felt it before...anywhere I have lived, but it was a pretty strong breeze of air coming up from there??? Please let me know if you have ever experienced this before.

I just had my roof done by a contractor. I had a guy from the company come in and gave me some quotes. One for $3530 (newer thicker) and $2930 (older stuff). He signed us up for the $3530 stuff and if I changed my mind I could call him back to change to the cheaper stuff. So, within a couple of days I called him and changed it to the cheaper stuff. I even asked him if I need to resign new paper work due to the different amount. He said I don't have to, he will take care of it. Well, now that the roof is done, I get the bill for $3530. I taked to him about it and he says he doesn't recall talking to me about it. What can I do? Thanks.

Like there was an "accident" and now there's urine on the bed mattress. Do I simply wait for it to dry then use some sort of Febreeze or whatever, or do I have to buy a new one, which is expensive!!

I have 3 kids and they have written on the walls. They've written on them with pen, pencil, and eyeliner. They are bad I know. I've tried soap and water with a sponge, and it helped a little bit but not really. Any home remedy or spray or anything will help. I have until the end of June to clean it up. I would like to see some of our deposit money.

I was mowing the yard and got too close to the edge of the ditch near our yard. Got the mower stuck and it died. Now it won't start. I am thinking it is a relay switch? Is this hard to replace? Anyone know of any online resource I can use? thank you

We have had tomato plants (about 2 ft high) disappear from our garden twice now this year, and once last year, and it happened overnight. There were no deer tracks, people tracks, or any other kinds of tracks, and no signs of what happened. These things were nice, busy, beautiful plants when we went to bed. When we got up the next morning they were COMPLETELY gone, root and all, and no indication as to what happened. Any clue as to what might cause this? At first we thought deer, but they would leave tracks. They hadn't produced any tomatoes yet, so I doubt rodents/racoons/etc would be interested. I sincerely doubt bugs could do that overnight. So what could it be??????????

It sometimes when I walk into the laundry room after it has finished spinning, I can smell something like burnt rubber. It's warm down near the bottom on the front (by my feet) also.
At first I thought it was unbalanced but now I'm wondering if it needs a belt. I also noticed the tub moves around quite easily from side to side/front to back - more than what it should (compared to the washers in the store). Btw - it's a stinkin' GE Profile.

I notice that when it rains the grass and plants grow at almost an explosive rate. Yet when I water the plant from the faucet they do not grow as well. Now is there Nitrogen in rain water which is a fertalizer? Or is it the minerals in tap water that makes the difference in the rate of plant growth. I guess nature knows best but if anyone knows the answer to this I would like to know. Thanks for any help..
