You could totally do a shabby chic motif....white thrift store furniture buffed down with a pretty small printed floral bedspread (could be thriftstore too...if you're into that, or ask family, friends if they have any fabric). You could make fluffy throw pillows to throw in the corner depending on how crafty you are....or simply throw a scarf over a lamp (don't burn the place down though;) Free is best when you don't have money, so look on freecycle for furniture or decor...or craigslist (but be wary of weirdos.....take a friend to help pickup stuff). Cheap...you can do a lot with a few dollars in Michaels or other craft stores. Wait for sales. Scope out what you really want. Paint is relatively cheap, but take your time...and definitely don't overdue it on the pink....that can become rather nauseauting. I would do something rather neutral (the sage green was a good idea) and then spice up the rest of the room...that way in a year you can change things up again;) Cheap. Easy. Versatile. That's the goal;)

Well For starters call around to the lumber yards, paint places they sometimes have dicounted paint called Mis paint ( paint they screwed up They just didn't get the right color for the customer) So they sell it cheap, now if you have a Dollar Tree then look around there for some brushes, plastic for the floor,
masking tape etc. Now for decoration its up to you but Again Dollar store have some nice things, neighbors, relatives, friends. (just ask it won't hurt ) if they have like material for curtains or an old shelf jewlery to hang with the cutains. Don't have cutain rods but those cup hooks and some dowels (round wood) for cutain rods to spice up the bed find some cushion and some material make a head board nail, staple, if it is light enought use velcro to hold. I hope that s what you might be looking for.Good Luck ... Oh bye the way If pink is what you want remeber there many colors of pink its your Place RIGHT:-D

I love the color combination of pink and brown together.
Do you have a TJ Max or another store that sells things that have been discontinued? You can find brand new stuff for cheap at these places. Target also has great stuff at cheaper prices. What about making a bullentin board with fabric &ribbon wrapped around it to hang up photos?

I would try the library or Indigo (you can peruse their section of interior decorating books while sipping a latte - too cool) to get ideas that you can modify to your own taste/space. As well, you may want to invest in The Home Depot's software that allows you to download pics of your room and then you can experiment with colours etc. (not sure if you can move furniture etc. as I have yet to obtain the sofware). And as for budget: The Sleep Country has pretty reasonable canopy beds - usually in white, but you could always dye the canopy and get bedding to match. As well, IKEA is very reasonable but you do get what you pay for. My daughter in law to be has a beautifully decorated apartment (her third project I've seen to date) and a lot of her things came from Wal Mart etc. (limited budget as well). Or, as a final suggestion, you could beg someone to nominate you for While you were out, or Trading Spaces, or just watch the shows for ideas - TLC and Life Network are just a couple of the many networks with decorating shows. Best of luck with the room.

not only RICH can have a cozy room. simplicity is beauty and you have to see to it that you will leave comfortable in it. too much is extremely much and too little is still wanting more.... take the control. think of it: What do you realy want in your room?
1. a space- if your room you think look small try placing a wide mirror (5ftx2ft or wider) in the wall, much better if you put it facing the door or the wide space of your room. it will reflect your wide space and makes your room look wide.. (although it's not)
2. light- place a light source in the 4 corners of your room. a lampshade. but, be sure that its not connected in 1 switch. much heavy light may affect your eyes. this is just to make your room look cozy. use a simple designs like rectangle and square to fit the angle of corner. then it will not consume the space. make sure that you will have nice sunlight to flow in your room from the window. use white curtains, white window jambs and light colored wall..
3. comfort- ask you father or older brother to help you. set the bed in the center of the room. or anywhere you will be comfortable to move around... together with the closet and othe furniture. the best is you would step down from your bed to open the window and let the sunshine and fresh air in a step away...
4. gadgets(t.v, component, p.c, etc. of course i would´nt say a condo type). like your beds and furnitures put it in the most comfortable way. but do not face the monitor of t.v and/or p.c in the window. you will see a light reflect in your screen and its not good to your eyes as well as tou the objects in the screen.
5. color combination. use color contrast... a monocromatic color are good. you like pink, use white and red paints, mix it gradualy to get different touch of pink. but be sure not to use one shade of it in all your things.... example: use 1 cup white and 3 cups of red for your closet, use 2 cups white and 2 cups red for your chair and table, use 1 cup red and 3 cups white for your bed and cieling. but use only white in the wall...
6. a room for all things u need are easily found and accessible i any way. organize your things... not to buy it all.. an empty box and containers are best thing to use, paint it with the paints you use( just change the color shade as your taste) label it to be more organized.
maybe my suggestions will help somehow...
have a good night sleep in your new room... :-)

So are we conspiring adversarial to our mother and father? if you're then shame on you. although if there turned right into a regulation you may not get blood from a turnip. meaning, your mother and father would don't have any incorrect way, regulation or no regulation, except for sure, you're creating wealth to assist out round your residing house and then you've were given some type of say so.

Light pastel pink on 3 walls and Fuschia on a feature wall with white cusions or maybe in cow prints. Paint your beds white if they're not already. You can use white, more pink, or even a baby blue colour for the sheets or bright yellow.
