I have been growing a Pineapple plant for almost a year now, but although the central leaves are growing fine, the lower leaves have all fallen flat.

Is this natural or is something wrong?

Do you really have to dig up your bulbs in the fall? If so, when do you do it exactly. I have tulips and other bulbs that come up every year. But, I just bought some Gladioli bulbs today and the directions say dig them up in the fall.

I want to buy some drill bits for my cordless drill (non masonary type). I've already got a set of drill bits but its too big and clumsy to keep in the drill bag.

If I wanted a selection of the "most common" sizes for little jobs around the home... like to drill in to plaster to put a plug in and fit something general like this...

What sizes would be best to have handy. (I want to get say 3 x each of the best sizes so I have replacements ready in case they blunt or break). I doubt I would need the really big massive drill bits anyway.

Thanks.

Would you ever work at a hardware/plant store? (Ace Hardware, Lowes, Home Depot). Why, why not?

You know those big blue water bottles, and when you put them on the stand or even after a while, you hear some bubble noise, like a gulping sound as the water goes down and air comes up.

I hear that after I flush the toilet, just started. Sounds like the water is going into a tank and some kind of gulping sound, air or something.

I looked under the house and there aren't any broken pipes, but I don't know what could cause this.

I was just curious. There isn't any 220 in this apartment, and since I rent I can't get one put in. I'm going crazy using the "laundrymat" since there is only one washer and one dryer and it is the only place to do laundry in town (small town...the closest laundrymat is a forty minute drive away). It seems like someone else is ALWAYS doing laundry. Even if I do get a load in it usually gets interrupted by people knocking on the door asking if I'm done yet or actually taking my clothes out before they're even done. And its two dollars a load. Any help?

I just bought a house and both front and back door were installed to open outwards instead of in. Im wanting to remove the entire door and frame (frame is a must-door is slightly larger than the opening on one side, so just taking the door off wont work) and reverse it, but all i can tell thats removable is the trim. I dont see anyway the door frame is screwed in. any suggestions? I have a screen door i want to put up, but cannot use it with the doors opening this way!

If we had a meal that leaves organic waste we put it in our freezer and wait for trashmen to come and pick it up.You will never catch me throwing smelly stuff into my rubbish bin.I only put my bin out on footpath in three weekly periods. But our recycling bin fills up so quickly.I put all other smelly organic stuff in my garden.I just cant understand why people keep on putting their hardly filled rubbish bins out on sidewalks without fail.
