Our master bedroom is not very big, and we want to save space by using sliding wardrobe doors. However someone told me that dust gets in easily in such cases. Does anyone know any way we can avoid dust getting into the wardrobe through the gaps between the sliding doors?

EG - Chimneys, adjoining brickwork etc.

I'm sure they dont and i'm also sure that a suitable lead (or similar) flashing is supposed to be used in place.

Can anyone confirm this?

In my backyard in California I have a garden shed in my backyard that someone offered to rent out as a place to sleep. The garden shed doesn't have a restroom and has no windows. The flooring is cement with rugs.It has electricity and a heater as well as a door with a lock. Is it illegal to rent out a garden shed? The person interested is a 20 year old girl.

I found that there was a steady stream of ants (I live in India, and it's summer) flowing into my fridge, water cooler, keyboard, scanner, ups, and god knows what else and I can't understand why ! I have a feeling it's to do with the electricity itself, certain events have convinced me of that fact, but I would really like to know what's going on.

I cut up a potato to feed some worms. Then I got some weedlike plants and I pulled them, now I have tiny potatos growing on it. How big will they get and how do you harvest them (if they are etible).

I am trying to re-wire a old murray rear engine riding mower.
It has a 8hp engine with a 32" deck and has a magneto. I got it real cheap and it will run but someone has been fooling around with the wiring
and I would like to put in a new ignition switch and install a new solenoid. I don't feel comfortable with all the electrical tape and spliced wires.

OK, here's the scoop: My housekeeper is extremely ill right now, and I have company coming over in a few days. The house is totally trashed, and I don't know how to clean a house and do laundry so this is a very serious dilemma for me. I don't trust just anyone because the housekeeper prior to this one stole from me considerably, and I refuse to pay anyone (including teenagers) "under the table" because I could get in trouble if get caught. How do I clean the house? Do laundry (I prefer my clothes hanged out to dry on a clothes line compared to a dryer)? What are the best cleaning supplies and for what? How do I clean my electronics? The porches? I am very oblivious to this. I never had to clean a house before, and the task is very daunting to me (I don't even know how to cook sadly). How do I organize my entire house from top to bottom? I have old magazines, VHS, and other junk piling up. My godchildren I'm taking care of is not helping matters they are only destroying it.

Hi - I'm wrinklefree's husband. Let me add some details and bring the Q up to date:
There is actually a very difficult junction just past the cleanout, but the plumber was told about it before starting. Twice while he was rodding my wife came in and said that it sounded like he was coming up in the toilet. The third time she told us that it was broken.

The toilet itself was 50 years old, and was 5 gallon flush. It had actully saved us on a few occasions by pushing stuff through the tree roots by pure volume. EPA regulations say we CANNOT replace it with something equivalent, but must go to a low-volume flush toilet, which will present more problems in the future, not less. The solution to the root issues will cost many thousands of dollars, which we cannot afford at this time.

The plumber came back and replaced the toilet with a new/cheap one that is smaller and does not fit well into the space. It sits 2.5" away from the wall.

We have not yet paid - now what should we do?

Okay, it smells like bread...Really..but I cannot find what it might be to get rid of it whatever it is. I was thinking that maybe something fell under the stove or behind it so I checked everywhere and found nothing. I am a very clean person so this is baffling me. I am beginning to think that it is my imagination here. Do you think I am smelling mold or something?

If I put fuel directly into the fuel filter the engine will start and run but when that fuel is gone the engine shuts down. I checked the fuel line it is clear and fuel runs through it fine.

My wife came home with cotton sheets for the bed, but I'm thinking that's just way too hot for summer. I am always feeling like it's too hot for me to sleep, even with the air conditioning and a fan (we live in Texas) and in the summer it is unbearable.

What bedsheet material absorbs the least amount of heat? I want sheets that feel coolest to the touch.

Thanks!

I used sulfuric acid to clean out the drain in my tub. It was very clogged. The drain runs fine now, but I have brown stains virtually all over my tub now. I don't even know how it really happened because I tried to be careful to just get the acid in the drain only. Is there a way to remove the stains? I've tried normal cleaners and S.O.S pads. So far nothing has helped.
