The crack is about 8 inches long and I would like to be able to repair it without replacing it. If that's not possible, does anyone know of a good place to buy a new shower/tub cheaply?

The shed where I just moved is pretty beat up real old paint and black spray paint in some spots, paint is flaky, wood is rough. What is the best way to paint or sand? I'm not that handy (no I can't knock it down and start over)

We have mold in our bathroom. It's not a lot. a small patch. What is the best way to handle this and repair it so it will not come back? the mold patch is about 2 feet by 1 foot on the wall by the tub. There has been a leak from the shower head that has been repaired. just need to know what I should do at this point before I seal the wall back up.

I have some books, like a few of my high school books that I "borrowed" and just never got returned, then I have some then I have some of my cousins old college books, like human resources, experiments psychology, business math, then I have a kids world atlas, also something called the young students Learning library, but its only the first 3 books I think out of 20 or 30. So should I just toss this crap, because I'm never going to read or use it?

One looks like teenie tiny grasshoppers but are a light brown or tan colour, and the other is a little round black domed circle on the plant, and if you touch it with something it flies away. They are both eating my garden making tiny holes in all the leaves. I'd like to get rid of them but not hurt the birds, cats and dogs I have in my yard. Also run off from my yard will go to a tributary of our local water basin so it can't be poison.
Thank you anyone who knows what do do. : )

My living room is a rectangular shape, and I have to fit a sofa, love seat, coffee table and two end tables, tv stand, and desk into it. After putting the sofa and love seat and tv stand in the best positions, it seems that the only place left for the desk is in front of my big window at the right side of the "rectangle". Would it be okay to put a desk in front of the window?? I'm on the 3rd floor, so I don't think I have to worry about it looking tacky from the outside. What should I do? Would it look okay like that? My new furniture hasn't arrived yet, so I'm just playing with some ideas.

Help, please! I finally realized something is wrong w/ my well. Water is leaking onto the street from the area of the well. Didn't think anything was wrong at first because it had been raining a lot. I'm in NY how much would it cost to fix appx? Can I turn the pump on and off to use sparingly in the meantime?

I was hired as a nanny, and believe I am being taken advantage of. I vacuum, mop, sweep, dust, make beds, clean bathrooms, clean mirrors, dishes, clean counters, clean table, occasionally laundry. And they get angry when I don't pick up their dirty tissues off the floor.

My hot water is too hot. So I looked at the heater and it has stickers on the side that say in red "disconnect power supply before removing panel to adjust temperature." Why do I have to disconnect the electric first? It's just a panel and thermostat, right? It's hard wired, not plugged in. Thanks

In the underarm of a few of my husbands work shirts there is a stiff white stain that I can not get out. I have tried soaking it in water (hot and cold), letting it sit in soap overnight, and different kinds of soap (everything I have in my house). Unfortnatly I can't throw away any of these shirts because they are part of his uniform. Any ideas?

Weed killer, unplugs pipes, kills bacteria 99%, makes dishes shine, cleans coffee pots, and much more. Do you want to add to this list of vinegar uses to help us glow more on this site?

I know they need to be pruned occasionally, fed and treated for insects and plant diseases. I just don't know when, how to prune, what to feed them, etc and I am so afraid I will finish them off cuz some of them look rather sickly already. I got some advice at the garden center but they are too busy to really spend any time. I am also trying to find stuff out in books from the library, but I am hoping some of you out there can make what seems really complicated, easier to deal with. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
