I think you should try neutral colors for the accessories. Try a light tan or beige for walls and lighter and darker shades of the same color for accessories. Red is so intense, you don't want to have a lot of things competing with it.

I would have to say tan, beige or white. The red walls will darker the room, so you'll want something to balance that. I would also but some throw pillows for your red furniture that end up matching the wall color you choose to tie it all together.
* (I myself don't care for white with red, a bit too clowny. My personal choice would be a light tan.)
Good Luck! :)

You could try black leather sofas and round glass tables with black chairs. It goes well with dark red if you are looking for a classy living room.
If the colour you are talking about is not bood red, like slightly lighter, you could try white so you will not feel so hot. And include some white furniture.
The best colour for walls depends on your taste. I can't answer that one for you. Accessories will have to go well with your wall colour.
Good luck
