Unless it's some kind of perverse sexual act between two men and a donkey that I am (thankfully) quite unaware of, I do believe that a Tea Towel is a small towel, about the size of a hand towel, but not as thick, prodominantly used for the drying up. I am unaware as to the reason behind the name 'tea towel', as surly a much more discriptive name would be drying up towel!

It's a cloth for drying dishes. The term tea-towel originates from the Victorian era when morning and afternoon tea were the 'in' thing and tea-towels were used to dry the tea cups and plates.
