My neighbour has some lovely trees, however they are so over grown and not maintained, they are now coming over to my garden and blocking a lot of sun light. Do they have a responsibility to keep them maintained? how do I go about getting them to do this? can I just cut them back?

Doin a project for my mother and since she has such a passion for her heritage I figured I'd incorporate part of that on the out side of her house. I just don't know how. Some decorative ideas anybody? Oh but they have to be weather resistant, midwest weather, or something easily moved.

I need a look for my room. I'm 14. I have a very small room, it's 10ft x 15ft. The height is 9.5ft. The color of the wall is green. Now, I'm planning to add an accent color of black and white. And a little splash of orange. The crown molding is the same color as the walls. I have a white ceiling and a white cabinet that goes from the floor to the ceiling.

Items in my room that needs color
1. Bed sheet
2. Pillow sheet
3. Comforter / blanket
4. 2-seater sofa
5. Rug
6. Lamp shade
7. Curtain
8. Photos, candles, any accessories.

My question:
1. Where exactly will I put the orange?
2. How about the black and white?
3. What color will I put on the 8 things listed above?

Color of the walls:

Arrangement of my room:

Please help me?

I live in the southern tip of Texas where the weather is mainly over 80 degrees all year long. Our winters don't go below the 40s or 50s and I need some plants that are tough enough to survive hot, humid weather year round. Any web sites on plants or any ideas on what to plant? Palm trees do well aroung here, but I would also like some colorful plants.
