Hello. Here is a sure fire way to rid your garden of snails. No spray, no chemicals. Get a bottle of beer, any brand. Fill a shallow container or containers with beer, put a piece of cardboard over container(containers), put in various places in garden where snails habit. They love the stuff, literally get drunk, and drown. It works I assure you. Just keep re-filling containers.

Put out shallow containers (pie tin, tuna can) of beer. They are attracted to it, crawl in, drown. Very effective and it won't damage your garden soil like salt.
You can also sprinkle the garden with crushed egg shells or diatomatious earth, both repel snails by cutting their bellies.
Copper wire - and to a degree - aluminum keeps them away. The metals react with their slime secretion to produce electrical shocks.
good luck

Get a couple of kids you know to collect them and throw them into a bucket of hot salty water. Even if you offer them 2c per snail it usually ends up cheaper than buying some dangerous chemical or other, and you get the fun of listening to them squeal and laugh while they do it.

Don't spray them,Get Dead Line. A liquid snail and slug poison that is harmless to pets. (DON'T LET THEM GET IN CONTACT WITH IT NEVER THE LESS.) Don't get any kind of pellets, kids and animals will pick it up and could eat it.
