I removed old tiles from my kitchen floor and underneath is a beautiful wood floor. However, there is some type of black adhesive that was used to adhere the original tiling. It almost looks like tar. The house is over 100 years old and I have no idea exactly what this black adhesive is. Please help:)

I trying to find out about a property I'm thinking of buying, I'm told it has a steel structure the walls being about 4 inches wide
it has a slate tiled roof, I think the walls are some kind of pannelling with a small gap between sheeting on each side, inside the ceiling is about 6 feet high and it has wooden floors,

The bamboo leaves are making a mess of my pool. I have tried talking to the facilities manager but it is useless, they are just not doing anything. Today I found a dead bat in the net between the condo & my house. Which government body can I complaint to. Please help

The current immersion heater gets the water too hot. A complete replacement immersion heater would be too big a job and too expensive. I note that some cylinder thermostats are rated at 16 amps so this would seem enough.

I bought one of those inflatible pools where you inflate the ring and the pool rises (10' circular, 4' deep). It has a filtration system that comes with it, and I'm wondering if it'd be safe for me to use our hose water (which doesn't go thru our water system that's in our basement). We have hard water (bacterial iron). The water runs clear but if it sits for 5 minutes you get a slimy rust colored residue in the water. So, I'm wondering, would the pool filter be able to handle this, or should I go thru all the trouble of finding a way to get water from the house to fill the pool?

Forgive the lack of classiness of this question, but can having an endeavor of the "intimate kind" damage a mattress? What about it damaging a Daybed Mattress and the thing that holds the mattress up?

So your all done with getting your stuff finished at night. Your just getting ready to go to bed, when you realize that you had forgotten one very important thing. OH NO!! So you walk to your desk and see it sitting there. You pull out your sewing kit, try to find the right color of thread and even poke your finger a time or two to get the needle threaded. So what is it? What is the one thing that you find your self having to sew more then others?
For me it either a popped seam unicorn, a nearly headless pooh bear or a flopped eared rabbit who's ear is just barely hanging on.

Plant cluster is dense. There are a few shoots growing out from main clump. Doesn't appear to have spread very fast but grew quickly in the spring. Leaf shape is not the typical bamboo, notl ong and slender.

Our back yard slopes down to a greenbelt with a small lake. The fence at the bottom has slats spaced about 5" apart so they don't block the view. A little rabbit hangs out at the bottom of the slope sometimes. I would like to plant some things for him/her to eat, and also create some shelter. I know they like things like piles of brush, but we have neighborhood covenants so I couldn't do anything like that. Any suggestions?

I would like to put a tree in my yard with flowers for some color. I have an inground pool. Last year we removed a pine tree and a huge maple. Leaves and needles were crazy in and around the pool. I would plant the tree about 40' from pool. Need something that isn't real messy like NO fruit trees etc. Website with pic appreciated.
Thank You
