Plant cluster is dense. There are a few shoots growing out from main clump. Doesn't appear to have spread very fast but grew quickly in the spring. Leaf shape is not the typical bamboo, notl ong and slender.

There are 2 motives that this could ensue. You plant is lacking nitrogen, this is the 1st huge type on any plant fertilizer. If this does not help, your soil is in basic terms too alkaline, and it may desire to be decreased to a pH of 7. flowers are no longer able to apply food if the soil isn't pH balanced or a sprint on the acid factor. Get a PH tester from domicile depot. in the adventure that your soil is above 7, try adjusting slowly with the help of including some drops of vinegar to its water and that gets your soil back down in some days.

Although the leaves are different, it could still be a clump of bamboo. Without a picture it is hard to tell for sure.
