I cannot turn off the sprinklers in the front! I did 2 times before, but this 3rd set of sprinklers (all the water supplied by the SAME fountain) but it will not turn whatsoever. The other times it did, but now it suddenly won't.

I tried the latch- it worked- until I realized it shut off the WHOLE ENTIRE HOUSE'S water.

Please help! My dad is gone for a week.

I dilligently filled in the dry spots on my lawn with soil and then new seed. then I watered well. After that I applied fertilizer and weed killer (scotts) that was in a white pellet form that burned the cut i had on my finger. As I was a little worried I decided to read the bag which stated clearly, use only on well established turf and not to overapply.

I'm freaked. Please help!

Our lot sits a little higher than our neighbors, and we had *so* much rain recently, that you could literally see the water pouring through the privacy fence into their yard. We also have problems with a bit of water on the garage floor when it rains a lot. Are their any plants or shrubs that might help eliminate this problem??? We live in Zone 6A (South-Midwest US)

I had these plants pop up in my flowerbed and in the grass nearby. They are bulbs, the ones I saw were about as big as a green onion. The leaves are skinny and long and look almost like grass. The flowers are white with 6 fairly skinny petals and a yellow center. They do not droop like bells, they are wide open like a childs picture of a flower. I live in Ohio and they just started blooming about a week or two ago. I've looked online and in books and can't quite figure out what they are. Any clue?

I have white linoleum and it gets dirty everyday, but I have a 4 month old and a busy life and I don't always have time to mop everyday.

Do you know of any good products to make my life easier? I have tried Swiffer and it sux. I looked at the Hoover products, but the reviews online weren't very good. I have also seen the Scooba from iRobot, but right now it is not in my budget.

Thanks for your suggestions!

I don't want to install a sump pump pit and I don't really want to use the old fashioned bucket method. Is there a way to empty the pool of its icky water? Is there a pump of some sort that is stand-alone, with one end going into the pool, through a vacuum, and then spitting out that water somewhere else?

The drywall tape is peeling really bad from moisture, all over the walls and ceiling. Is this a quick fix, or do I just need to tear it down and start all over?

I decided to have a beach/surfing theme for my room. It has a blue carpet and yellowish/beige walls. I can't think of any cheap accessories to emphasize this theme. Like what kind of decor (and i can't spend a lot...less than $100) and where to buy it. I also can't choose between a pink or green chair! I would love to hear ideas from you. By the way, I can't change the carpet or paint the walls in any way.

I have stuff, a lot of it, including a refrigerator in storage. I don't need all of it and would like to see if I can make some cash getting rid of it, but I've got no place to sell /store it as my storage bill is going way, way, up. I planned to use the items in storage in my new place, but circumstances have changed and I can't use it all. Not sure if Ebay or Craig's list is a viable option.
Any Ideas?

Hi - I'd like to put up a clothesline in my back yard, without having to install poles. I have the nylon cord, and there is actually enough space between the garage and house, that I could mount the line between them without having to buy poles, etc. What is the best way to mount the cord? There is one hook already screwed into a window-frame... how would I knot the line onto a hook so it would stay? Or should I staple-gun it on? Would that hold the laundry? Any ideas appreciated!
