There are a number of home remedies you can try. You can also buy a herbal Pyrethrum spray from garden centre. Did you know you can grow- Pyrethrum ptarmiciflorum-Silver Feather-Daisy, and make your own spray from leaves and flowers? Also you can use very effective spray from cigarette stubs steeped in water-not many insects like this. The other way is a bit more drastic, but it will keep spiders out. That is to use household bleach on frames round windows etc. Just keep surfaces away from kiddies and animals. The Pyrethrum won't hurt people or animals. Good Luck!
