Since I live in a tropical climate do I have to prune my roses at all?

I would , to encourge new growth, also it revives the plant, as well as the root system.
Pruning is good for your roses, it encourges a better root system, which in turn, gives you bigger, and more blooms in return,and is well worth the little effort it requires.
