i suppose the kindest thing to do is get rid of your insects if you can. put fly guards on all windows doors etc to keep bugs out - also citronella candles act as a good repellent. then if you find a lizard, catch it and put it outside. no food - no lizard. most lizards you get in your home are handle able such as anoles and geckos. or learn to live with them and appreciate the good they do - but be careful with small children around if you catch them running over things your not happy about as the carry salmonella on their skin or be horrible and get a filthy scabby nature destroying immigrant fur ball cat responsible for destroying the majority of wildlife pretty much every where its found - you will also have to play with it stroke it feed the bloody thing and provide water for it let alone the vets bill when the stupid thing gets itself hit my a car, shot by a youth, and is dumb enough to eat something toxic hope this helps! You can try keeping a morteen or baigon spray handy. 'Hit' spray also works. Next time when you see a lizard, spray about 5 - 6 times on it directly from a 3 feet angular distance and watch it dead after about 8 hours! It worked for me twice. Better hit spray in the night before going to bed and clean up soon as you get up. :) but be careful yourself, as it is poison, so wash off before you forget.

I am from Hawaii and geckos are common household pests. I personally like having them around cause they eat bugs.

I've heard of a spray, called "wet feet" that's supposed to affect their toe pads so they can't stick to walls or ceilings. Guess they are smart enough to avoid your house when looking for meals.

Other people suggest spraying insecticide to eliminate their food source, but then you have that toxic scent to deal with.

Try this link might be some suggestion in there you can use

I would rethink the getting rid of lizard idea! Lizards eat all kinds of insects, and you are lucky to have them. They keep fly, spiders, gnats, etc count way down. I'd take a hundreds lizards over any spiders! They won't hurt you either.
