You know those big blue water bottles, and when you put them on the stand or even after a while, you hear some bubble noise, like a gulping sound as the water goes down and air comes up.

I hear that after I flush the toilet, just started. Sounds like the water is going into a tank and some kind of gulping sound, air or something.

I looked under the house and there aren't any broken pipes, but I don't know what could cause this.

Somewhere in your mainline you have a semi or full back up. It is probably down a ways, so your toilet doesn't back up yet. You need to run a snake to push the clog out, or call roto rooter before it gets worse. An ounce of prevention....

Mine is doing that right now, after the septic was pumped. It didn't do that before. You don't dare sit on the pot while it does it, it "burps" you get your "fanny" washed while going potty. Very embarrassing. No one seems to know what the problem is.
I've had the air lines off, everything is clear, right up to and including the lines to the roof. I can take the lines off to the run and watch the water go down, re-hook them and it'll do it again.

I'm sorry....ranting on. Somewhere there's a plug, I'm calling rotor-rooter, do the same, maybe it'll help. Good luck

That is the plot to a really bad science-fiction movie I saw many years ago. If I remember correctly, the worm crawls up into her vagina and then fertilizes one of her eggs. Nine months later, a baby monster is born, and the first thing it does is kills the Doctor delivering it. The rest of the movie is about people trying to figure out how to kill it before it kills them. So, if this is that movie playing out in real-life, I would find a Doctor who does abortions, and take your wife there ASAP.
