I live in Central Pennsylvania, and they are planted in potting soil. I have them in the patio which is screened in so the bugs can't get to them. Right now they are only about 4 inches above the dirt,

The only other time I smelled a smell like this, it was when a mouse crawled into the back wiring of our oven and died. Now I am afraid one has died in our heat ducts? It is an old system with wall vents that run under to the basement furnace. How on earth am I going to locate it and remove it? Does it HAVE to be done professionally?

I Am starting a Lawn Maintance Business around where i live and its alright but i wanted to ask all of you if you like it when they cut your lawn and the mulch is left on the grass or you liked it bag??
Leaving the mulch i know for sure has no damage if you cut your lawn regurarly of course if you got your lawn 1 ft high and cut almost all of it off then you are going to damage your lawn but if you cut your lawn regulary say once a week or twice a week then it actually does good on it. The cilppins left on your lawn contribute to 1/2 to 2 pounds of nitrogen which then return to the soil as they break down which provides nutrients to the soils and supply it with organic matter. I know it maybe not look as organized put what do you people prefer when you cut your lawn or whoever does it for you. I like to leave there too because its alot easier..lol

I was on the internet last PM and noticed someone in Maine is selling clothes line poles already assembled for $199 bucks and that pays for delivery to Illinois too. Should I buy them?
The pole is 107 inches and the top part is 48 inches and they claim they are heavy duty. They do not list the width of the galvanized pipe. Is this a rip off?

I only buy laundry detergent when it is on sale. I am that way about groceries too. I bought 4 jugs of Purex for $2.10 and thought maybe the reason its so cheap is because it doesnt clean the oil and dirt out of my clothes very well. What do you think? Should I just go ahead and buy Tide for $6.00 a jug?

I want to give an elegant look to this room.
Color of walls: White
Floor: beige carpet
Color of sofa: burgundy/green/navy blue/gold plaid print
Two sitting chairs: burgundy with very small green diamond print
Pillows: navy, burgundy, green, gold floral print
Table: wood stained in very dark navy blue
Painting: back drop is mainly navy blue
Grandfather clock: cherry wood

The dining room sits directly across from the living room and those walls are covered in a dark green wallpaper and the table and other furnishings are cherry wood. Both the living and dining rooms each have 3 large windows. The curtains in the dining room are currently white. Any advice would be very appreciated. Thank you.

Can anyone recomend a way to get rid of strong cooking odours. I always cook with the extractor hood on full power, but the smell seems to linger for a day or more. I have tried opening the windows and doors but the smell seems to come back when they are closed. Are there any good deodourisers or air fresheners on the market in the UK, would prefer not to use aerosols, something I can plug in would be better.

I've had a roommate for quite sometime and next month I'm moving into my own place. I just realized that none of the wall treatments and/or decorative "stuff" in our apartment is mine. I already have to spend a ton on other stuff that I need, but I'm certainly going to have to get some stuff to decorate with as well. The apartment is really nice, so I don't want to just leave it with bare walls and no decorations, but I don't want to spend 1000 on that kind of stuff because I need a tv and and a whole bunch of other stuff that was my roommates at our last place. Anyone have suggestions, where to go, what to look for, creative ideas, trendy stuff???? I'm up for whatever. I'm currently thinking like pottery and vases though, stuff like that I guess.

My bedroom is the only room affected as other rooms on the same floor (second) are not affected. However, since I am extremely allergic to mold, I cannot sleep in my bedroom. At time the smell seems to come in through the windows, however if I close the windows at night because it is cold, the smell is just as strong in the morning. Any thoughts or suggestions???

I'm new to the whole gardening thing; I have an area outside I'd like to plant in...it's a raised area next to the house surrounded by rocks. It gets lots of sunlight throughout the day. Any suggestions what to plant there? I want a variety of height and color. Can I go to a garden store and just buy a bunch of flowers?

I wanted to paint my bathroom and got all the right tools (scourer, scraper, dif, etc) to get the wallpaper off my walls and none of it worked. I googled and searched other alternatives such as fabric softner with hot water, vinegar with hot water, etc and nothing is working. I have a pretty decent sized bathroom and I am on day 3 and have only gotten maybe a 5 x 2 section done. I am so frustrtaed and fed up with this whole process and not seeing any results that now I just want to paint over it. The edges and corners are coming up so I was wondering if I pulled up what was already lifted and spackled in between the cracks of where the wallpaper sheets meet and sand down everything, including the spot where I was working and pulled up the wallpaper could I paint over it if I primed it first? I wanted to paint it a very light pastel blue and the wallpaper is not texture. Or because I've already started and pulled some off do I have to continue even though it's going to take me a month!

This mower has not been used in over a year. I had to take the carburetor bowl off and unstick the float. It still wouldnt crank and got to where it was hard to turn over, even with new battery. When I took the spark plug out, gas came out. I took the oil drain plug out and gas came out. What would cause gas to get into the crankcase?
