I have a ceiling that is made from a styrofoam material. I have some water stains from a leaky roof. How can I get them out?

I hate to tell ya, but the stains are in there for good. Sounds like you need to install some new ceiling tiles and to get your roof fixed.

You can buy a product " Kilz" it is a stainkiller. It is like a paint and it covers stains on ceiling tile among many other things.Paint alone will not work, you need a stainkiller.you can get this at Home Depot,Lowes and probaly Wal Mart. There are other brands that will do the same thing.I used this on ceiling tile to cover water stains and on my garage to cover tar before I painted,it worked great.

sorry there is largely one way that i understand which you're able to do away with this stain affected section with a white base paint it is made for mildew you need to purchase it at any ironmongery shop. Paint the effected section then repaint over the section with an identical colour of discomfort that the unique kitchen is. with any success i'm hoping which you will tournament it yet probable you will would desire to discomfort the full ceiling returned .Why not basically paint the ceiling white that way you will not would desire to tournament it up with something of the kitchen...............stable success

Replace if it is styrofoam as it isnt a good idea to repaint. If not then paint with Kilz as it will permantly cover the stain.
