I want to give an elegant look to this room.
Color of walls: White
Floor: beige carpet
Color of sofa: burgundy/green/navy blue/gold plaid print
Two sitting chairs: burgundy with very small green diamond print
Pillows: navy, burgundy, green, gold floral print
Table: wood stained in very dark navy blue
Painting: back drop is mainly navy blue
Grandfather clock: cherry wood

The dining room sits directly across from the living room and those walls are covered in a dark green wallpaper and the table and other furnishings are cherry wood. Both the living and dining rooms each have 3 large windows. The curtains in the dining room are currently white. Any advice would be very appreciated. Thank you.

I would suggest hanging the same curtains in both you living room and dining room to tie the room together since the colors in them are similar. Not knowing the kind of windows you have I will assume they are standard windows. Try hanging decorative black curtain rods on the wall about 2 1/2 inches above the window frame. Next hang yellow gold drapes that flow to just above the floor. If you choose not to go with the gold, pick another color from your accents. Stay away from the blues and greens as you have plenty of those colors already. Bed Bath and Beyond sells panels as I have described in a soft faux suede. It will be a very classy addition to the rooms.

I suggest going with a gold tone fabric on your curtains. It is elegant and ties in with the dark wood as well as your colors. I prefer the tie back type that have a valance attached.

look for a broad stripe with both gold and blue silk.try to match the colour of the sofa.
i think i might leave the dining room white or if the need to kick it up a bit is there, try silver silk or even silver and white broad stripe silk.
in a large room you can pool the fabric underneath but if the room is small i wouldn't.

Champage or light Gold metallic sheers. I would not do a print, you already have plenty of print in the room.
