When is the best time to water my grass, morning or the evening?

water at night. if you water in the morning, not only will the sun evaporate the water, but it will fry your grass and turn it brown. at night the water gets a chance to soak into the soil.

I've been told that watering your lawn late in the evening will encourage too many bugs. I don't know for sure.

I'm not awake enough in the morning to water, so I do mine shortly after dinner each night. It seems to work just fine!

My comment is Garden center advice" Either morning or late evening,never in the heat of the day it will blister your grass.
And that olds true with anything outside.
TIP --- Never put plants in the back of a truck and drive down the road,that will blister your plants also and they will loose all their leaves.

i don't know who gave "fordman" a "thumbs down" but he's right about the mildew and fungus thing at night.......morning is the best .... before or right as the sun is breaking the horizon!
