I would use a light color. Paint everything with the same color, don't use two light paints to paint trim one color and the walls another. Light colors will make the room appear bigger, also painting the celing the same color may help. What is your favorite color?? Then go with a light shade of that color. These are some good colors for the bath: light terracotta, a cool cucumber color, a soft country blue and a sage green. Also use a paint that has a slight sheen to it. Can't make up your mind, then just use all these colors and sponge them on using a glaze.

Use earth tones for a small bathroom, Make sure that you keep your trim nice and white as well as the door. If you have a shower curtain, Make sure it is nice and bright and add color as accents. Don't paint the ceiling the same color as the wall as it will give the bathroom a real boxy feeling

Most decorators recommend light or bright colors for a small room to make the room look larger. I recommend a color that contrasts with flooring color and the fixture colors. If you have light colored fixtures and a light colored floor go with a dark colored paint. If you have dark colored fixtures (towel holders, toilet holders, sink, toilet, lighting, etc) and a dark colored floor go with light colored walls. The contrast of light vs dark will make your fixtures and the floor stand out and make the room look much better.

use a "cool/neutral color", it will add color without being too much.
