I have a westeria that a late frost got this year and burnt the blooms. Is it ok to trim back what has not?

i used to hack the crap outta mine... i had to trim it back at least once ever 2 weeks.. it would branch all over the place....across the side walks onto our hedges and the thing started growing up instead of up.. so i think if you were to trim it a little it should be fine.. plus getting rid of bad stuff will give more energy to the new stuff growing in...... i am in Illinois .. good luck!

whatever is wilted you should probably trim off to make way for new growth.
