We are putting peel and stick tiles in a basement bathroom floor. We have heard that peel and stick does not stay down on cement, so we want to know if we can glue it.
What else do we need to do to make it stay down and stay tightly sealed between ( the tiles seem to gap after a while) the tiles?

The problem is all the water splashes out. Someone told me to get a "splitter" and attach a fountain head to one end and use the other end to run the hose for the waterfall. Does this make sense? Where would I find a splitter and how would I attach it?

I have to get a new fence. My old spruce fence is falling down. PVC fencing looks nice and lasts a long time (or so Ive heard). Ive never had PVC before. Its expensive. Not sure if I should buy it or just go with spruce.

Anyone here have PVC and any advice. Also, if I go with the PVC, any tips or precautions?

Location is in extreme Western Maryland (near PA & WV). I would like to plant some bushes next to the house, to obscure various vents. This is a second home and will not receive regular landscaping care. Additionally, the area is frequented by wildlife, so it has to be deer and bear (!) resistant. Any ideas on which shrubs I should plant?

I have service lines for over 6+ condo units, that run under my bedroom floor in a condo i recently purchased. I bought a Gauss meter which reads up to 10 MG in Milligauss, as well as .1 to 1 mG for EMFs.

My readings are high for both, reading the max/red zone around the point in the floor where the service wires are underneath. (they run in a single bay between floor joists). The EMF's would be right under our bed, And we will be putting the mattresses on the floor.

Being were putting down new pergo floors, we wanted to put some kind of EMF shielding under the floors to deflect the fields away from our bed.

Everything I have found online is around $400-$700 for what we need.

Does anyone have any suggestions of materials that we can buy (sheets, foils etc) as an inexpensive alternative to the expensive EMF shields found online? I know nickel and steel might be good, where would i buy thin sheets of it?

Thanks for any help!

We recently bought a house and the carpet is really dirty. I have tried shampooing it but it hasnt made a big difference. We are on a tight budget and cant afford to buy carpet right now and area rugs are more expensive than carpet (for our room size). Any ideas on how to clean it or what to use?

What do you call this? I have seen condos that appear almost like a studio apartment but the one room is a living room and there is a small stair case which goes upstairs to an exposed bedroom that is almost on top of the living room. Is this a loft?

I want to replace the ball-bearing rollers on my old, but great funtioning, door. They are to noisey!!

I want something more quiet.

A door repair man told me recently they are all the same. I know that is not true because of my close friend was bragging, and he showed me, about how quiet his new door was. You could hardly hear it and the rollers looked a little different.

Do I have any options? If so, where? I want to have as much info. before I contact a local g. door repair man ...again,

Thanks,

Ed
