I have done it before, but not in a basement. I reccommend using a water sealant base coat painted on the floor firt then allowed to dry before placing the tiles down. We used Kilz brand sealant purchased at any walmart or lowes/ homedepot.

As long as the floor is clean and dry the tile will stick and remain glued to any surface. It is a good idea to run the dehumidifier in the basement to reduce moisture

If you get moisture in the concrete then the tiles will not stick as you wish. You might put down a plastic vapor barrier on the concrete and then put down a thin concrete backer board and place the tiles on that. you may need to buy and run a dehumidifier in your basement to keep the humidity down.
that will also help with that musty smell you tend to get in basements.

use covebase adhesive. its a basement bath prolly 35 sq ft total? no problem. just make sure you clean any glue off the tile right away and dont use too much. the glue on the tile coupled w/ the glue on the floor will act like contact cement. let it get alittle skin on it b4 you instal. for you ppl that like to give thumbs downs, i did this on part of my garage floor when i turned it into the entry to my living room. it works

It is essential you prime the floor before you apply the peel and stick tile, you can buy prime in the same place you bought the tile, it looks like a milky substance and it comes with instructions.
(It is a special latex prime, not the same prime used to paint)
If you prime it first it will work, if you do not prime it
I assure you it will not work
good luck

Highly doubtful, but through trail & error U might come across
some type of glue that will stick. Try cleaning one section of
the cement as good as possible and stick one piece of tile
on it and see how long it last. Experiment with different glue
adheisives.
