My mom carelessly let her ciggarette burn three deep holes into my grammas floor, my mom doesnt care enough to try to clean or cover it up, so im left with the job. I put acetone on it, not really expecting anything to happen but its worth a shot. ill try anything soo please help me. my gramma security deposit depends on it..

the acetone softened the floor a lil bit i got one hole out by scraping it off but im not sure about the other two.

I don't think there is anything you can do to totally restore it but, in years past, I have scraped the tiles with a knife to get rid of the charred portion and let the lighter stuff come through. You could also try sandpaper to help blend it in.
It will look like you tried to clean it up but it will always be visible in some form or another.
Mom needs to be more careful or quit smoking.

Sounds to me like you are hosed. The Cig. probably melted the surface burning the the vinyl, leaving a permanent mark. Can you put a rug over the area?
