I have a DeWalt DC410KA cut off tool and I need to cut through some 3/4" think carbon steel alloy rods. What type or brand of cut off disc should I use? Is the general purpose disc going to be up to the task? Thanks.

I have a non-stick griddle that has Pam buildup on it and nothing has worked to get it off without scratching the pan. I would really like to know if I can use Easy-off cleaner on it without damaging the teflon and making it peel. Any advice will be appreciated.

What is a good way to hide a key inside your house so no one can find it, and, if they do find it, to keep them from being able to get/use it?

They are tiny pale brown flying insects, about the size of my thumbnail, give or take. I see them flying in here at various times. There's just a few right now. Are they likely to eat my clothing, or are there a specific kind that eat clothes? I would like to know before I go to the store and buy a bunch of moth products. I think they came from my parents' house when I was going through my mother's things to bring items back. Before that, I remember hearing that they came in a grocery bag, but that house is in the woods, so these insects could have found a crack and just bred like crazy. But there were lots of these things there, almost the color of paper bags.
How well do the cedar and lavendar items work? Any other nontoxic methods that I can get in a store?

My mom has a problem. She buys things by the dozen and as a result I have lots of towels, sheets, blankets, and comforters. They are all clean, but worn and a few have small tears or holes. Most people I know just use the towels and sheets as rags, but I have a truck full of this stuff. What can I do with it?

What would you put down if you hate the feel of tile? Laminate, hardwood? Kitchen/family and hall all need replaceing- they flow into each other.I tore up the linoleum that was old and it is on a concrete slab.

This is in my garage only... we have drywall up on the ceilings, but no mud and tape. Are there any drawbacks/safety issues with not completing this? Please only answer if you really know what you're talking about.

I'm preparing a work site and need to hook up five or six 1000 watt work lights to properly light the area at night. I have an outdoor outlet onsite, but that's five or six thousand watts of juice, which will surely blow a fuse or tip a breaker. Is there any way I can run the lights off the commercial power without doing that? Is there a capacitor or something I could buy?

Every time that I return to the Y/A question categories, that stupid Orkin ad with the roach getting mugshots pops up in that little window (upper left)
I would'nt mind, but the sound effects of the camera are totally annoying!! Is there some way that that thing can be changed or silenced without muting my computer or turning on my media player?? Is there anybody else out there that thinks that thing should go?? Makes me not want to call Orkin if I need an exterminator.
