Seedlings need alot of light. Sunlight is the best, if you can't provide sunlight, you need to buy Fluorescent LIght bulbs, try to buy light bulbs with CRI 90+ (CRI 100 is sunlight) and place them 4 inches above the seedlings. You need to leave the light bulbs on for at least 12 hrs if the seedlings like sun leave the light bulbs on longer about 20 hrs.

Make sure they get good light, if they are leggy it is from lack of sunlight, if need be use artificial light. Just remember with more light they will also need more water. Pinching back a plant does make it bush out better, but on seedlings you can kill them if you do it too early.

Pinch back any new growth from the top -so that the plant is forced to bush out first.
