There is a glass top cleaner -- thick substance you put on with a papertowel, let it sit, then polish off with papertowel and the spot is usually gone. If it is a buildup, then first use a sponge with a scrub brush on one side and use the scrub brush side first to get the spot off, then apply the cleanser.
I do this all the time, as water even makes a spot on the range. I think it is Ceramabrite or something like that -- I have to go to Lowe's and get another bottle myself.

It depends on how bad the spot is. If it is raised and bumpy, you should try a razor blade in the little holder jobber (cant recall what they call them, you can get then in the hardware isale of the grocery store for like $1.99). If its less than that, use a green scrubby and little bit of baking soda. Rub in small fast circles and it will comes right off and wont damage it at all. I do this almost daily as I am the queen of boiling over...lol. Good luck!

Hi I have a glass top range also and I have used several products, My best product that works best for me is ( I just threw away the bottle yesterday) It is made by dawn dish liquid but it is a new kind made for cleaning this type of mess. I buy mine at walmart. It is right by the dish liquids and cleaning supplies you can't miss it. It comes in a spray bottle. This stuff keeps my stove looking brand new all the time. Hope this helps.

I have a glass top stove, you can buy stove top glass cleaner @ any grocery store. There is different brands , they pretty much do the same job. My stove came with a rubber scraper. You might be able to find a scraper @ Walmart.

You can use a glass scraper and not hurt the top if it is baked on.
