It is just sitting in the back yard. I thought I might try to grow some veggies. It is a huge bed, but is full of grass, weeds, and a small tree.
What do I need to do? Would it be better to try and make another flower bed?

My roommate and I are new at gardening (as in, never tried it at all before). We've been trying to dig up weeds and get an area ready for the past week, and although it seems that we will never be ready for the actual planting step, I think today we might be able to get some stuff in the ground

Yesterday, we spent an insane amount of money on plants, but when we were trying to arrange where we would put everything, it doesn't fill up even half of the area. We bought some seeds to put in as well, but it just looks so empty. Does anyone have any suggestions for fillers/cheap, yet pretty plants/plants that spread out.

I am interested to buy a house, but the siding looks very distressed. Would it cost alot to fix the siding or do I need to replace the whole siding.

I started growing some tomatoe and cucumbers in Dixie cups so I can plant them in the ground later. They just reached the stage where they loose the seed and have 2 leaves. When I moved them out a few days later the stems thinned out. One section of the stem about a centimeter long just thinned out and the plant is now drooping. What's going on? Can I get the plants back to normal and how?

Hi! Sorry i think i am going to be asking alot of questions. I am looking into finding a house I can turn into mine. I am looking at a house right now with very low ceilings. The lady selling it is 5'2 and can touch the ceilings. How hard is it to raise the roof? What is a decent size for a ceiling? Is this something I can do or do I have to hire some one? ( My family has been remolding there homes for years but have never done anything like this.)

I have this dog, he is getting older and for some reason he really likes to pee in this one spot on my hard woods floors. Well it always cleans up fine, but a little bit of it always soaks into the wood.
It is starting to get nice (weather wise) were I live, and the slight humidity is starting to bring the pee smell out of the wood in my living room. So my question is.... Is there any way to get rid of this smell or any way that I can soak it all out of the floor? Oh, yeah by the way we are not getting rid of the dog, so please don't repond that way

The ink has sat for about a month. I've never washed the coat and because it is washable dry cleaners won't touch it. It is a light tan color.

I live in a very leaky house in Taiwan. (most houses here leak).

In order to at least ensure that my bedroom is dry, I have decided to use Drylok on the worst hit walls.

I have stripped one concrete wall down to where it's mainly concrete. There are however still bits of the thin cement layer used to make the wall straight, and here or there some thin bits of concrete paint.

If I after using UGL etch on the wall and plaster the cracks over use drylok, will it last?

I have a couple of slites in my dryer vent hose (scrunchy metal hose) and the hot air is coming threw it. So I asked about something that I can use until I am able to get it replaced or fixed. I was told to use Duct Tape. Now I went to purchase some and realized that there are so many kinds of duct tape. So I bought one and need to know from YOU, if this was the right kind to get.
Brand:
Scotch Duct home and shop tape. (Nascar offically licensed).
Durable, Multipurpose, easy to tear.

Now when I read the inside cautions, it read: Do not use on flues, chimmeys, mufflers, and tailpipes.

Now can I still use that for the dryer?

I live in Ireland. We have just bought a new house. In our old house our gas boiler (which was Vokera I think) heated both the radiators & the water. However, in this house, the boiler does not appear to be heating the water. It will only heat when we switch on the emmersion. Are we missing a switch that can be turned to allow our gas boiler to heat both the water & the radiators?

I used a stain the first year and it all peeled off. I would like to use a sealer or stain that would allow the beauty of cedar to show through and last more than one year.

We moved to this house last April. Last summer I found too many diffrent insects in our yard that sometimes were coming inside of our house most of them were big spiders, large crickets and some other kinds. When winter started all of them disappeared but I am worried about this summer because we will have a baby in our home I dont like to have the insects inside and outside too. What kind of chemical will be effective? can we use them by ourselves or need a specialist?

My husband and I have a hard time sleeping together, he moves around a lot and I am a light sleeper, so we thought we would get a King size mattress, which would consist of 2 extra long twins, and I guess you put something in between the crack of the two mattresses, but I think that that may be uncomfortable.....Should we just go with a Solid King size instead? But I will still feel him bump around!!
Any experience with this out there?
