My husband and I have a hard time sleeping together, he moves around a lot and I am a light sleeper, so we thought we would get a King size mattress, which would consist of 2 extra long twins, and I guess you put something in between the crack of the two mattresses, but I think that that may be uncomfortable.....Should we just go with a Solid King size instead? But I will still feel him bump around!!
Any experience with this out there?

Yes, those memory foam mattresses are great and do not transfer motion hardly, but they are a lot of $$$. We have a Simmons Beautyrest and they have this "independent spring system"(I don't know exactly what they call it), I think they are coils, but they are not connected to each other, so it doesn't transfer motion. He can lay in bet and I JUMP on the bet and he doesn't even move. Probably the next best thing (as far as motion transfer) to a memory foam mattress. It's also the most comfortable mattress I ever had. I absolutely love it.

Hi, We have done just that and have not been any problem. Just make sure each bed frame is locked in place so that they do not move around. We purchased a King Size Memory Foam to place on top of 2 Twins. Make sure to get a Thick at least 4" memory foam. I think you guys should be fine. In worst case, you buy a King, and still be able to use the memory foam, then put twins in extra guest bed room, or sell them.

Try out a memory foam mattress. You don't feel movement on those as much as inner spring mattresses and I think they're super comfortable. Try it out together at a mattress store. Have him toss around while you lie there with your eyes closed. Then try the same thing on an inner spring mattress. Good luck and sweet dreams!

Get a mattress that is not made with springs. One with coils is better for reducing the feeling created when someone is moving around.

As for a king-sized - get a regular solid one - nothing will keep two mattresses together.

I'd just go for the King Size mattress.

Be aware that King Bedding costs quite a bit more than queen or double...but that's probably the least of your concerns.

Get the one in the commercial that shows the person jumping on the bed and not spilling the wine.....I had one of those with my ex huz and you really cannot feel the other person moving around getting in or out of the bed..!!!!!!!!.....we got ours at mattress discounters...dont know if you have that company where you live....good luck.
