I had the same problem and I used Kaboom. Yes I know...But is works! If your doubtful the go to Home Depot and check their cleaning isle. They have some great products not regularly found in the grocery store.

I would recommend using something with a grit. Perhaps a green scrubby. Might help break it up too!!

Good Luck!

There is a product that sells at Dollar General called The Works, toilet bowl cleaner. When I moved in to my home I had the same problem. I tried everything and out of desperation and aggravation I sprayed the whole thing down with The Works and left it to soak. I ran a green scrubbie around the tub a few minutes later and was very happy with the CLEAN Shiny tub!!! I will use it every now and then still.

Try a bleach and water mixture and spray it on the ring. The coating on the tub may be pitted and the dirt is in the pores. Let it sit a while and then try scrubbing it off. If you use the bleach, DO NOT use a product with ammonia in it for cleaning until you remove all the bleach. This will cause a toxic gas.

Use baking powder and liquid dish washing detergent, similar issue as comfortable scrub. CLR is slightly aggressive, it may spoil the tubs end. to save your cleansing down, spraying furniture polish on the wall tiles, bathe door glass, and around the tub (no longer on the bottom of the tub the position you stand), may actually help save cleansing soap scum from construct up right away. Go buy some scrubbing bubbles cleaner and a box of baking soda, spray the bubbles then generously sprinkle the baking soda, rub a little, let sit for 10 minutes and scrub and rinse. If that doesn't work you'll have to go to the Home Depot or another home center and get some industrial cleaner.

I can help you, Clean sinks and bathtubs

Put the shine back in your porcelain sinks and bathtubs by giving them a good scrubbing with full-strength white vinegar, followed by a rinse of clean cold water. To remove hard-water stains from your tub, pour in 3 cups white vinegar under running hot tap water. Let the tub fill up over the stains and allow it to soak for four hours. When the water drains out, you should be able to easily scrub off the stains. Good Luck !

I agree, Kaboom is awesome! Also, try Kaboom with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser...they are amazing and you don't have to scrub NEARLY as hard! Good luck!
