we've seen a property that we really like. however, there seems to be signs of damp. some of the wallpaper has come away from the walls throughout the house. also, in the lounge, laminate flooring has been badly laid and seems to lift up a bit at one point. also, the skirting boards have come away from the wall on one side. On the outside holes have been drilled all around the house for what looks like a damp proof course. however, the holes are not filled up, some of them have like raw plug caps on them. any idea why the holes are hollow? also, the house has not been lived in for a while. there is no obvious mould but the plaster underneath the wallpaper looks cracked. should we just wait and see what the surveyors say?

the trouble is that I don't like other people to touch it without giving it a good polish rub after. Do you think i should replace it with a lesser but still nice knob?

The lights on PIR detectors, these are independant of the PIR's and can be lit by computer (or manually).
I think the speed is limited by the speed the bulbs warm up, they are those slim halogen types.

My husband and I live in an older house that has brick in my kitchen..from the sink to behind the stove. We are having a terrible problem with sugar ants and have tried everything to get rid of them, including having an exterminator come TWICE, they might be gone for a few weeks, then show up again. We have tried every bug spray and ant killer on the market, but just cant get rid of them, any suggestions? They are driving me crazy!!!!

I bought a new refrigerator last year then moved to another home that came with one. I cannot use my new refrigerator because the space in the new house is to narrow so it is now stored in my garage. My mother said she heard that an unused frig will only last about a year or so before it goes bad... loses its freon. Does anyone know if this is true? It is a $2,000 frig I'd like to keep it but if it will go bad I'll have to sell it before it's ruined. Thanks.
