I live in the city, so trapping and bb's are not an option due to heavy sidewalk traffic. They are in my wall and are way to high to reach from outside. They have chewed through the wall and my cats are in a standoff with them. I can not afford to call in a pest controll expert. How can I drive them away without causing any discomfort to me or my pets.

I am putting wainscoating in our bathroom. I'm about ready to start cutting the base board because it has a lip on it and I realize that the trim around the door is narrower that the chair rail and base board that are going to be installed. Any ideas on what to do? or is my only option to tear out the door trim and install trim the same thickness I am using with the wainscoating?

My fiance and I need to replace our water heater, we're looking at possibly purchasing a tankless one, but I'm curious to see if anyone has one, and how well they work.

To start my dryer, it has those knobs that you have to turn about a quarter inch. Well, the dryer works well, except the knob broke, and the stub is too small to even grip with any kind of pliers. Does anyone know if they sell just the knobs? Or do I have to buy a whole new dryer?!

I am new to central IN. I've been aware of this vole in my house for about a month and during that time we have lived peacably along side one another. Just now, I was sitting on the floor and all of a sudden I realize that my "buddy" is right against my hip. I like animals but I am freaked out. It acts as though it can not see but would it not smell me?

I will be getting some live traps to catch the mouse and then release it. It can live in the garage if it wants. For tonight, however, how do I stop this unwanted behavior? Do these guys climb at all?Any advice on what bait to use in the traps? Any particular "set up" that might keep this guy content in the garage? A little hay for nesting?

Okay so there really isn't a crime scene. I decided to give a worse case scenario to help me figure out how to efficiently clean my car...

-My car has apulstry, plastic and vinyl surfaces.

-My car becomes part a gruesome massacre with blood & gore everywhere. Now I can't take this to a car cleaning business because they don't need to know about this. It is also like 40 below outside. What kind of cleaners and cleaning methods might I use to clean my car?

AGAIN, NO ONE GOT KILLED BUT MY CAR COULD POTENTIALLY COME ALIVE SO PLEASE HELP ME OUT

I have a built in Whirlpool microwave. The light built does not work anymore after just 1 1/2 years. There is no information in the user manual. I asked Whirlpool Customer Service, they want to rip me off with an expensive repair service for just a light bulb. It seems that it is impossible to remove the light bulb. I cannot unscrew it. It looks like I have to disassemble the unit. Does anybody know how to change this light bulb?

There is also a dirty filter, which cannot be removed. How can I clean it?

I cannot hire a handyman. That would cost as much as a shopping cart with food for my family.

My friend said it wasn't good to touch a halogen light bulb with your fingers but when I asked why, he didn't know. Why is this? Is it bad for you or the bulb? I'm guessing you may not want to get the oils from your skin onto the light bulb, but I'd like to know for sure.

Any one know for sure?
