Hi,
Any assistance would be appreciated. We need to clean work boots so they look presentable. We purchased some boot cleaner but had no luck. They are standard SEARS mens work boots.

They are work boots! They have to look as if someone was actually working in them!

I typically use a wet rag on mine to remove as much of the mud and dirt as possible. Never really took it any further than that but I have a tool I bought from a high-end shoe store that has a rubber end with rubber brissles on one side and a brush that is a comination of a wire brush/vinyl brush on the other. Along one edge the rubber is tappered to get into the tight area between the leather and the sole of the shoe/boot. The other edge has protruding rubber teeth on it that is stiffer than the rubber brissles and is good at working out tough scuff marks. I use this for all my dress shoes but never tried it on boots. I guess it couldn't hurt to try. I think I spent about $8 on it. The handle is actually also a shoehorn.
