Looking at a fixer-upper and the previous owners (foreclosure) tore it up.

Is it possible to fix these large (0.5" and less) gaps on both sides of two doorways?

Ever since our hot water heater was replaced, our furnace is now making a very loud humming noise. It seems as if it is coming from inside the furance. It sounds like a cross between humming, and vibrate. It's oil heat, if that matters. We never had this problem until we had the hot water heater replaced. Any ideas?

I want a nice glossy finish, but I don't want to spend TOO much money, unless it's worth it. I'd also like to do a diamond, black on grey pattern. Any ideas?

After shoveling the snow off the driveway it becomes icy and dangerous to walk on. I've heard that salt is not good for the concrete or the grass but would rather damage either of those then falling and hitting my head.

I am just asking about every day cleaning, not when you need to work on a shine. There are hundreds of products on the market, all of which are expensive and I have tried....never finding one I liked. I just need something for a quick clean-up.

then 7-1 for line 1, then 8-2 to line 2, and 9-3 to line 3, the motor it is not grounded and the leads are not open, m' I missing something or the motor it's not good?

Pre-spotting does not take the grease out, nor pre-soaking.
Any other suggestions.

Hi I was wondering does anyone know what this is called. I'm trying to figure out what this piece of furniture is called. It's something my Grandmother had and probably bought in the 70's. It was a bigggg round chair and it had a cushion that went around the back of it. It was a really ugly yellow-gold color. Does anyone know what this is called?

I have a round dining table and for big occasions I have a big round flat thing that goes on top of it and makes the table a lot bigger, but as there are only 3 of us normally we don't use it most of the time.

I am looking for some creative ideas on where to keep the stupid thing when it is not in use. It is very unattractive as it is made of chipboard.
