Contact the mechanical bed people "as seen on TV". I purchased a home completely furnished, with two of these beds pushed together in the master bedroom. There were sheets, blankets and spreads to fit this double combo and they more than cover a standard sized couch. I believe they must have been ordered through this bed company. They were pricey though, one tag said $198 and the house had been empty for at least 13 years, so good luck.

If you're wanting to cover a sofa with a blanket, I would recommend a king size blanket. There is nothing larger unless special ordered. You can find King Size in every department store in the country. But if you want quality, you'll want to go to a major store like Bed Bath and Beyond, or Sears. Stay away from the Walmart and Kmart.

If you are into quilt style bedding, You might be able to special order one to your color scheme through a quilter in your area.

Try going to a crafts or fabric store like Hobby Lobby. Look for large swatches of polar fleece. Polar fleece comes in many colors/patterns and makes an instant blanket (no sewing requried). They're really comfy, easy to wash/dry (in the machines) and last a long time. Optionally, you can cut them with special scissors that make the edges look scalloped. Have fun!

I personally disagree with your choice, as I believe it's an untidy look. However, if you're gonna do it, you should probably look for something that's marketed as a bedspread. It will be bigger than the blankets that are the same size (king, etc.), because it will be made to cover the bed, all the way to the floor.

Overstock.com may have some, as would JCPenney.com and probably Sears.com.

Linens and Things has alot of nice large blankets, if not there, maybe try Bed Bath and Beyond. If you can't find anything, you could always buy 2 blankets and small stitch (sew) them together.
