I bough a dress in a very cheap price it is very pretty but is dirty even though had a tag (so it was new) and has to be tailor a little bit, the tailor is going to be a little pricy but I can pay it, the problem is the cleaning part: the tag on the dress reads: No dry clean, spot clean only, so I would like to know if is ok to put on the washing machine on delicate cycle or do i need to go to a dry cleaners, i would like to do it myself because the cleaners are incredibly expensive. Any suggestions

Hi All,

I've just bough a new house and the bulb(s) in the main room constantly need replacing.

There are two ceiling lights with 3 bulbs off each. About once a week at least one of the bulbs will go.

I thought it may be a power surge or brown out problem, but wouldn't know where to start....

Any suggestions?

There's different types of plants in pots. Is the dryness of the soil the best indicator they need watering or just a schedule for the type of plant?

When hanging horseshoes on the wall for showing, what is the correct way? Do you display it like a U or turned the horseshoe other way, with the points down and the curve on top. Is their a meaning which way it should be hung? Thank you all answers welcome.

We have had an occasional odor, like sewer gas, coming from our kitchen sink. We checked the trap and replaced the septic tank, but still have the odor.

I just bought a 124 year old house in manitoba and it is in desperate need of windows. I don't want to order them in and would rather get them at clearence prices. Problem is the clearence windows are not the rights sizes. Is it easier to build them in or out? and why? I will be doing the work myself with help from family and friends so there won't be any window professional there. Any other advice, tips?

We have a one piece bathtub/shower combo that when water was left in the tub with drain closed, leaked through the ceiling in the living room somehow. Where could the leak be and is a plumber necessary?

I cant take it anymore! I live upstairs and moved from a downstairs unit in August. My dwn stairs unit had no problem with ants & since moving up I have had nothing but problems. I can have nothing out on counters etc. but they are there, in the cupboards, cracks by the stove, electrical outlets, in bathroom, now up near ceiling over my bedroom door! I have told manager & they have had a pest control guy out t spray 1 x a month, no help. Its like I live on a ant hill. I know ants can be common but having to wash everything every few days is MAD! how can I manage the ANTS!!

Current reading is 60 PSI.

If I have the shower on and turn on the kitchen sink, will sometimes get the "rattling" sound in the pipes.

The windows should be atleast:

dual pane
energy efficient
vinyl, insulated vinyl or fiberglass
and has a low conductance spacer.

I can't seem to find anyone helpful at the local Home Depot or hardware store that knows all this information.

Again, I live in the San Francisco, California area. I know location does play a role in finding the right windows.

Any HELP, weblinks will be greatly appreciated.
